VISIT THE DALLAS ZOO

Located on 95 acres of beautiful, mature parkland, the Dallas Zoo is home to more than 400 different animal species from all over the world. With so many exhibits to see and exciting interactive events to attend, you may need to plan a second trip to see it all!

  • Make the most of your visit by scheduling an intriguing On-site Education Program or one of our self-guided Backpack Tours
  • Experience the 7 major habitats of Africa on the Monorail Safari Tour (open seasonally)
  • Explore the Lacerte Family Children's Zoo and meet the animals UP CLOSE!
  • Take a spin around the world on the Endangered Species Carousel
  • Meet the keepers who take care of our wild and wonderful animals at "keeper talks" scheduled throughout the zoo
  • At the Gorilla Conservation Station, chat with one of our gorilla experts
  • Visit the many creepy, crawly residents of BUG U! , our exhibit featuring Texas Bugs
  • Relax and enjoy lunch while watching the flamingos from the Prime Meridian Food Court

VISIT THE DALLAS AQUARIUM AT FAIR PARK

PLEASE NOTE: The Dallas Aquarium at Fair Park will be closed for renovations after the 2008 State Fair of Texas which ends on October 19, 2008. Please check back for our exciting new programs.

Dive into the wonders of the aquatic world at The Dallas Aquarium at Fair Park. Located on the historic and culturally rich campus of Fair Park, this beautiful 1936 Art Deco building houses over 6,000 aquatic animals!

  • Make the most of your visit by scheduling one of our On-site Education Programs!
  • Stop by the Touch Tank and get an up-close look at cool aquatic creatures
  • We all love lunch time.including our aquatic friends! Come watch the sharks, eels and even piranhas "take a bite" during one of our Scheduled Feedings
  • Take a peak at science in action in our Breeding Lab

The Fair Park campus is also home to several other exciting museums including the African American Museum, Dallas Museum of Natural History, Texas Discovery Gardens, The Science Place and The Women's Museum. Make an exciting and educational day of it and visit several institutions in one location!

ZOO AND AQUARIUM ADMISSION

Discounted rates are available for all groups of 25 or more for the Dallas Zoo. Additional discounts are available to all Educational Groups (public, private, home, and parochial schools, as well as licensed child care centers.) Two-week advance reservation is required to receive group discounts.

RESERVATIONS

Field trip and program reservations can be made by completing and returning the Field Trip and Program Reservation Form or calling the Education Department at 214-670-6832.
