All of our classroom programs are held in one of our many Zoo or Aquarium classrooms, and each program is correlated to the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS).

DALLAS ZOO TOPICS
Zippity Zoo! Grades PreK-Kinder
This multidisciplinary literacy based Pre-K program introduces students to reading skills, phonetics, and natural history. Choose from the following topics: African Savanna, Barnyard, Bug, Snake, or Pond. Each Zippity Zoo program includes a story and a live animal encounter. 30 minutes long.
COST (PreK-K) $170 (up to 20 students). $8.50/per additional student. All program prices include field trip admission and 1 free adult per 10 students. *Prices are subject to change.

Animal Close-Ups: Adaptations; Grades K-12
How do animals survive in their environments? They adapt! Learn about just a few of these special adaptations in this live animal program. Program can be customized to particular topics, too (e.g. reptiles, nocturnal animals, mammals etc...). 45 minutes long.
Animal Close-Ups: Classification; Grades K-12 How do scientists classify animals? Explore the diversity of animal coverings by meeting live animals. They may be bumpy, scaly, smooth, soft, or spiny in this interactive, hands on program. 45 minutes long.
Animal Close-Ups: Food Webs; Grades K-12
Producers, consumers, and decomposers, oh my! Get caught up in a food web by learning how animals are connected to one another by what they eat! Make an interactive food web and then meet some live animals that depend on each other in an ecosystem! 45 minutes long.
Wild Jobs; Grades 5-12
Want to work at the Zoo? From accounting to zookeeping, learn about the diverse jobs a zoo has to offer and how to prepare for them. This program includes an up-close encounter with one of our education animals! 45 minutes long.

CHILDREN'S AQUARIUM AT FAIR PARK TOPICS
Sea Squirts! Tidepool; Grades PreK-Kinder
Enrich your students' literacy development with this hands-on tidepool encounter. Students will increase their language skills as they listen to a natural history based story, read out loud, and then engage in an inquiry based ocean adventure! 30 minutes long.

Aquarium Close-Ups: Aquatic Adaptations; Grades 1-3
Gills, fins, scales and tails…how are aquatic animals suited to their homes? Find out in this live animal program which includes a visit to Stingray Bay! 45 minutes long.
Aquarium Close-Ups: Predator Instincts; Grades 2-12
Predators come in all shapes and sizes, from the tiny dragonfly nymph to the mighty shark! Learn all about aquatic predators in this exploration based program. (Program contains both indoor and outdoor components). 45 minutes long.
Aquatic Careers; Grades 5-12
Diving, chemistry, husbandry, cleaning…accounting? Discover the world of careers an aquarium has to offer, some which get you wet and some which keep you on land! 45 minutes long.

Mollusc Lab ; Grades 5-12
Mollusc mania awaits in this hands-on, lab based program! Students will learn about the diversity of this large phylum, discover how adaptations help these animals survive in a variety of habitats, and discover just how giant a giant squid is! 60 minutes long.
